The Smurf Experience

FAQ

Welcome to our FAQ!

What measures are being taken to contain COVID 19?

We take comprehensive protective and hygienic measures, in particular distance rules, wearing mouth and nose protection, protective equipment in the checkout areas as well as continued intensive cleaning and disinfection measures. The surfaces that can be touched, for example, are cleaned at regular intervals by our staff, and the VR glasses after each use. You can find detailed information here

WHAT MUST BE CONSIDERED IN RELATION TO THE MANDATORY TEST?

According to the current obligations of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, a corona test or proof of immunization is not obligated when visiting a museum, art exhibitions or similar institutions anymore.

IS A MASK REQUIRED?

Yes. If you are over 6 years old, please always wear a FFP2 mask or medical mouth and nose protection, also within the exhibition.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE MY TICKET ONLINE?

In order to contribute to the containment of the coronavirus, we have reduced the maximum capacity in the exhibition and therefore recommend that you purchase your ticket in advance from our partner Ticketmaster.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUY TICKETS ON SITE?

If tickets are still available on your visit day, you can buy tickets at the box office. Please note that we prefer payment with an EC or credit card. However, if no more tickets are available online for your desired slot, it means that the maximum capacity has been reached and we can unfortunately no longer sell you tickets on site.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY BOOKED TICKET IF THE EXHIBITION IS CLOSE AGAIN?

Should the exhibition have to close again due to official requirements regarding the pandemic situation, purchased tickets will retain their validity and can be rebooked for a new date free of charge.

WHY ARE THERE TIME SLOTS?

As a contribution to the containment of the corona virus and to guarantee all visitors a great experience and a pleasant visit, it is split up into different time slots. Entrance is allowed every 10 minutes within the time slot you have booked. You should plan approximately 1 ½ hours for your visit, however, within our opening hours you may stay as long as you want to. You have missed your time slot? In this case we will try to have you enter the exhibition at a later time, provided that there is enough space. This is why we recommend to be there on time!

CAN I CHANGE MY SLOT AFTERWARDS?

When booking, please make sure that you have selected the correct date and time. A change afterwards is unfortunately no longer possible. Did you accidentally miss your time window? In this case we will try to let you in later, but only if there is enough space, so we recommend that you be on time!

ARE THERE REDUCTIONS FOR GROUPS?

We offer group tickets for 10 persons and more. They have to be ordered in advance at gruppen@ticketmaster.de.

ARE THERE LIMITATIONS FOR THE DISABLED?

The exhibition is easy of access, also for wheel-chair users. Seriously disabled persons pay the full price, but with a “B”-authorization in their passport admission is free for the accompanying person.

DO CHILDREN HAVE TO BE SUPERVISED?

The Schlumpf-Abenteuer exhibition is recommended to kids aged 3 years and older. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

PARKING OPPORTUNITIES

The car-park routing system of Centro Oberhausen guides you to one of the 14,000 free-of-charge parking lots. In each car park there are parking lots for the disabled. Admission to the car parks is for vehicles up to 2,20 meters (2,10 meters in P4 and P7). For the shortest distance we recommend parking on the upper decks of car parks 1 and 2.

ARE THERE PARKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR BUSES?

Parking lot P9 is for coaches, vans and (except for Christmas time*) mobile homes. Parking lot P10 may be used alternatively – depending on the current traffic. Despite these comprehensive arrangements we ask the bus drivers to pay attention to the current signage.

*There are parking lots for mobile homes at the Kaisergarten Oberhausen which is nearby.

ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES FOR REFRESHMENTS?

The Centro Promenade and the Coca-Cola Oase both offer refreshments. It is not allowed to eat or drink within the exhibition area.

ARE THERE LOCKERS?

No. For hygiene reasons, we are currently unable to provide lockers. However, lockers are still available in the service zone on the ground floor of the Centro. Use costs € 1 – as a member of the loyalty program, you will receive a “token” at the reception in the central dome on the ground floor, which you can simply put in the lock of the locker you want to lock it.

CAN I BUY MERCHANDISING PRODUCTS?

You would like to take home a nice souvenir? At the end of the exhibition there is a shop with a wide range of smurf products.

AM I ALLOWED TO BRING MY DOG?

Pets are not allowed. If you depend on an assistance dog, please contact us via info@schlumpfabenteuer.de in advance.

CAN I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE TEAM?

We are constantly looking for good staff who like to work with and for kids, either at the exhibition or at the cash desk. If you want to apply for a job, please send your application to i.goedeker@awc-ag.de
